Unlimited number of e-mail-addresses
(Via email-forwarding or email aliasses)
You have an unlimited number of e-mail addresses at your disposal, which can be linked to any existing e-mail address. e.g.: info@domainname.be can be linked to your own mailbox jan.janssens@provider.com or yourname@hotmail.com.
The use of aliasses can be very interesting. You can set up an alias to any e-mail address on any service (hotmail, yahoo, gmail etc etc). If you have several people working in your organisation that already have an email address, you can just set up an alias and direct all their mail to their existing address.
Another use of aliasses : for example on your website you use e-mail addresses like webmaster@mydomain.be, admin@mydomain.be etc etc.. all those can be configured as e-mail aliasses, and redirected to any existing e-mailbox.
Or you can even have them all redirect to the same mailbox, and with some creative use of e-mail filters you can organise your e-correspondance that way, fast and easy.
E-mail aliasses are very easy to set up in your control panel.
Catch All mailbox
Furthermore, you have a catch-all function at your disposal. When an e-mail address on your domain is not configured yet, everything that will be sent to your domain name will be 'caught' by the catch-all function (if it is configured first). This way, no e-mails can get lost in case someone writes the wrong name in front of @domainname.be. nomatterwhat@domainname.be will automatically be sent to your existing e-mail address.
Another use of your catch-all : for example on your website you use e-mail addresses like webmaster@mydomain.be, admin@mydomain.be, orders@mydomain,be, complaints@mydomain,be, support@mydomain.be, newsletter@mydomain.be etc etc.. if none of those have been configured as email users on your domain, they will all be redirected to your catch-all mailbox. With some creative use of e-mail filters you can organise your e-correspondance that way, fast and easy.
Free mailbox
When registering a domain name, you get 1 free mailbox of 50 MB. This is a POP3 mailbox, which you can use to send and receive e-mails using any standard e-mail client, such as Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora.
This way, you are not obliged to already have an existing e-mail address. With this free mailbox, you have your own personal mailbox, secured with a username and password.
Your incoming mailserver (POP3) is mail.combell.net.
Your outgoing mailserver (SMTP) is still your internet access provider's mailserver.
Your username will be your full e-mail address: yourname@domainname.be
You can change your password in your control panel.
Web Mail
In addition to using a standard e-mail client, you can also manage your e-mails via COMBELL's webmail from any location that has internet access. You can always read and write e-mails, of course including attachments. Visit our webmail at http://webmail.combell.com
