The collaboration between the City of Sint-Niklaas and Combell is running smoothly. The customer often draws on the knowledge of Combell experts, who provide advice or solutions whenever possible.

Our solution
The City of Sint-Niklaas went for a VDS configuration. This way, if hardware issues affect the dedicated server, the site can be put online on one of Combell’s backup machines. Combell was in charge of the full migration from the previous location, without noticeable downtime. The server is now fully managed by Combell. This includes the daily management and follow-up of the machine’s software and performance, backing up the data and providing assistance to city employees having questions and problems.
Combell also handled the installation of an advanced webcam overlooking Belgium’s largest square. An integration module has been developed, so that the data of Sint-Niklaas can be displayed in the Cultuurnet database, in the appropriate sections in the Xoops environment that is currently being used.
