875 000 000 online shoppers

A recent study conducted by Nielsen Media Research reveals that over 875 million consumers shop online. That is over 85% of the worldwide population with an Internet connection. Most of the online shoppers are located in South Korea (99%), followed by the UK (97%), Germany (97%), Japan (97%) and the US (94 %). Credit card is by far the most popular payment method (60%). Paypal is used by a quarter of all online shoppers.
