Combell Solutions continues to sharpen its focus on security

Combell Solutions, the division of Combell that specialises in managed hosting, and ZIONSECURITY, market leader in web security in our country, joined forces. In the past, Combell has always been attaching great importance to security, but it continues to expand its range of services today.

Security, and more particularly web security, will be increasingly important to companies in the coming months and years. The number of infected websites keeps growing and companies need to protect themselves from this threat. Over the past few years, Combell Solutions already devoted a great deal of attention to security and will continue doing so. The collaboration with ZIONSECURITY illustrates this perfectly.

ZIONSECURITY will provide security services to Combell and the latter’s customers. For this, both companies signed a partnership agreement. “Security is of crucial importance to our customers. This is why we like to have an external, and thus critical, perspective on our security. By entrusting this task to a specialised party, which supports our own security efforts, customers can be confident in both their own security and ours”, says Benjamin Jacobs, CTO at Combell Solutions.

The objectives of this partnership are manifold. The collaboration with ZIONSECURITY makes it possible for Combell to offer several security services. ZIONSECURITY will take care of the validation of the security environment as an external party. This way, customers will be able to know if their environment, which is hosted by Combell, is secure. Security testing and assessment checks (performed on a regular basis or not) are also part of this.

Managed services in web security are also part of the service package. This is some sort of security layer around websites and applications that Combell customers can use. Most malware attacks are automated. So, it is not an easy task for customers to constantly keep their security systems up-to-date. “Together with Combell, we want to provide a complete solution, where Combell takes care of managed hosting and we contribute to the expansion of their range of security services” says Erwin Geinaert, CEO and founder of ZIONSECURITY. “Combell will offer those services ‘out-of-the-box’, without customers having to contact our company.”

The only one holding an ISO 27001 certificate

ZIONSECURITY was not chosen at random. “We at Combell Solutions find it important to provide customers with the best solution. This is why we believe that everyone should stick to what they do best”, says Benjamin Jacobs. “We have always pledged to focus on our core business, namely hosting. So, for our customers’ web security, we picked an external partner with extensive experience. Their mission, as an independent third party, is to take care of the validation”, says Combell CTO Benjamin Jacobs.
The partnership also reinforces Combell’s leadership position in the hosting market, to which security is intimately linked. “Before we enter a partnership with a company, this latter must show a strong track record. Combell is Belgium’s only hosting company to hold an ISO 27001 certificate. This was a key criterion for us, and for many of our customers”, concludes Erwin Geinaert from ZIONSECURITY.
