Dispute resolution procedure concerning .nl domain names

At the end of this month, SIDN (manager of the .nl domain names) will apply a dispute resolution procedure concerning Dutch domain names. The dispute resolution procedure that will come into force on February 28th will replace the existing arbitration procedure and will be applicable to all .nl domain names. The new dispute resolution procedure also entails an adaptation of the registration rules for Dutch domain names. Via the introduction of the dispute resolution procedure, SIDN wants to offer a quicker and less expensive alternative in case of contestations. Disputes will be processed via independent specialists in the field. SIDN does not apply any preliminary control during the registration process.
