Here are 5 reasons why you should jump for joy at the launch of Drupal 8:
1. Mobile down to the smallest detail
In Drupal 8, 'responsive' is an understatement. You will notice that this new version is designed for mobile use down to the smallest detail. Managing your website on your smartphone or tablet has been made much easier.
2. A multilingual site without getting a headache
Offering multiple languages on a website with a CMS can be very frustrating. But not with Drupal 8! All modules and interfaces designed to create a multilingual site have been rewritten and made easier.
3. Edit content like an expert
Thanks to the new CKEditor, creating content has become a truly enjoyable experience. It is now easier to edit the content of certain specific blocks, and the new WYSIWYG editor offers the most advanced level of protection.
4. Creating themes has become fun again
Drupal 8 uses a new template engine named Twig. This new engine makes it possible to make nice-looking templates to make your Drupal website all the more attractive.
5. A modern basis to build on
Drupal 8 is the first release for which the Drupal community has collaborated closely with the PHP community. Drupal’s essential components are now based on components of the Symfony framework, and many other nice names. As Drupal developers put it nicely: “Drupal is no longer an island”.
