Microsoft Webcafé @ Combell

The second edition of the Microsoft Webcafé took place on Thursday 17 February. This time, the event was organised in our conference room and the Combell Café. At the Webcafé, developers come together in an informal manner and share their knowledge during 10-minute talks.

Thijs Feryn, our technology evangelist, spoke about “Scaling in the Cloud” and its multiple benefits.

The next speaker was Thomas Van Sundert from Appstrakt. They developed the App “MijnTVGids” for iPhone, Windows 7, Android and other mobile devices. Lbi also came to give some explanations about an App: Betrains, which is very handy for any Belgian train user. Orbit One spoke about Umbraco, an open source CMS written in .NET code. Katrien De Graeve from Microsoft concluded with a demo of the latest version of Webmatrix & ASP.NET MVC.

During the breaks and after the talks, it was time to network and relax with a game of bowling and Dance Central with Kinect in the Combell Café. The atmosphere was top notch! We are looking forward to the next edition.
