How do I delete a website (subsite)
Attention!
Please note when you delete a website (subsite) or a domain name (alias domain name) from the control panel, what you are doing is you are deleting the connection between the control panel and the website. All files and images need to be deleted separately if they are no longer needed – i.e. if they are not accessible via another host / domain name / subdomain.
Follow these steps in the control panel:
- Go to “My products”> “Web hosting”> “Manage hosting”.
- In the menu on the left you choose “Domain names & SSL”.
- Here, find the website (subsite) you want to remove and click on the “Manage website” to open the context menu and click on “Delete website”.
How do I deactivate a website (subsite)
Deactivating a website will make it unavailable temporarily. Afterwards, you can always reactivate it.
Follow these steps in the control panel:
- Go to “My products”> “Web hosting”> “Manage hosting”.
- In the menu on the left you choose “Domain names & SSL”.
- Here, find the website (subsite) you want to remove and click on the “Manage website” to open the context menu and click on “Delete website”.
Delete an (alias) domain name
Follow these steps in the control panel:
- Go to “My products”> “Web hosting”> “Manage hosting”.
- In the menu on the left you choose “Domain names & SSL”.
- Here, find the (alias) domain name you want to remove and click on the triple-dot button to open the context menu and click on “Remove the domain name”.
